Digitizing and what it is   Date: Saturday 13 February, 2010
FAQ Summary:
A way of creating a logo for an embroidery machine

FAQ Content:
Digitizing is a method of creating a logo to be sewn on an embroidery machine. A digitized logo is often referred to as a jacquard, however this in not a totally correct term. Digitizing is a skill that is not quickly learnt, designs can be runied by simply having a set of stitches sewing in the wrong direction.

Although some software has the ability to auto convert, generally the result is poor, as the software is only able to convert solid flat colour. Skilled digitizing involves manually outlining the logo or design, and blending different types of stitch and direction to add the impression of depth and style to the logo.
